Mostly found as the US Domestic 40mm Solex/Mikuni and as such is commonly known as the PHH40 Mikuni. This is the style used for illustrations throughout the Mikuni PHH Carburetor Service Manual

Main Body
Type R is very similar to the Type T and uses the same basic main body casting and machining. There are some subtle differences in use and size of inner venturi and Pilot Air jet drilling. A Type T can be converted to a Type R and vice versa with all the different parts interchanged as required.
